The
539-yard par-5 seventh hole presents an excellent birdie chance, as two strong shots can get the
player to the putting surface. Two majestic oaks guard the corner on this hard dogleg left, so
only the longest (and highest!) hitters should even consider cutting the corner. Those bold enough to try will only have a long iron left should
they succeed. The most prudent play is a
low drive that teases the leaves of the trees on the left and rolls to a stop in the left-center
of the fairway.
From there 215-245 yards will remain for a downhill approach to the green. Hit all the club you
can muster, but be wary not to carry the ball too far. Any aggressive shot that hits the back of the green
on the fly will more than likely skid off the back and find itself resting in the water hazard
that lurks there. For best results, take one less club than you think you need and try to run
it up through the narrow neck at the front of the green.
Three bunkers surround the putting surface front-left, front-right, and back-right. The green is
vast and there's not a flat putt to be found.
