The eighth hole is the shortest on the course, and the elevated tee makes it play even shorter. The tee shot plays a half to a full club shorter than usual if there is no wind. The San Francisquito Creek returns for the 8th to wreak havoc with any errant shots short or to the right.

The key to the hole is placement of the tee shot. Keeping the ball below the hole is essential, as the green slopes hard from back to front, especially on the front portion of the green. Reading this green is tricky. Take a good look and trust the slope of the hill...not your eyes!
