Throughout the years, Stanford has hosted many intercollegiate and non-collegiate events, including U.S. Open Qualifying, Women's NCAA Championships, NCAA Regionals, Pac-10 Championships, USGA Junior Amateur Qualifying, and a former Senior PGA Tour event (The Gathering at the Farm).
The men's and women's clubs at Stanford host a variety of tournaments that are available to members, alumni and their guests. A very popular annual tournament, the Stanford Open, is open to the entire Stanford community including students, faculty/staff, members and alumni.
The Stanford Golf Course is available for outside tournament play on Mondays throughout the year, except on holidays. A minimum of 80 players is required and there is a reasonable fee per player for greens fees and carts. Overlooking the first tee of one of the finest golf courses on the Peninsula is a newly remodeled, full-service golf shop, featuring pro-line clubs and golf accessories. The Stanford Golf Shop offers brand name wedges and putters from names like Nike, Taylor Made, Ping and Odyssey, balls by Titleist, and shoes by Footjoy. Also featured at the Golf Shop is a selection of clothing and accessories emblazoned with the Stanford Golf Course logo, featuring the Nike and Cutter and Buck brands. A wide assortment of caps, shirts, sweaters, and jackets are available. It's the perfect place to shop for the golfer in your family. The Golf Shop is open from 6:30 a.m. until dusk, Tuesday-Sunday.

The Stanford Driving Range, located just across Junipero Serra Boulevard from the Stanford University Golf Course, is open to the public 7 days a week.
The Range features 50 well-spaced driving stations -- including a special section for left-handers -- 5 target greens, and is equipped with lights for night play.
The Range also features a small pro shop, with gloves, balls, bags, shirts, wedges and golf apparel for sale, and an ATM for your convenience.

Finding the right golf instructor is an important step to improving your game. At the Stanford Golf Course, our Professionals are certified to teach every level of golfer, from beginners to scratch players.
Both private and group lessons are offered, and sessions can last from 30 to 60 minutes. All lessons are held in a reserved, grass section of the Stanford Driving Range, with 9-hole playing lessons offered on the spectacular Stanford Golf Course.
